  • Application Mashup Generic Enabler (WireCloud)

    The Application Mashup Generic Enabler provides users with a cutting-edge end-user development framework to develop application mashups by integrating heterogeneous data, application logic, and UI web components to create value added instant applications. WireCloud is the reference implementation of the Application Mashup GE.

    Joining this course you will learn what WireCloud is and how to work with it from its different roles/perspectives: end user, developer and administrator. This course will require different technical knowledge depending on the rol, please refer to the specific section for a list of required technical skills.

    The Application Mashup GE (WireCloud) project provides community support through StackOverflow using the fiware-wirecloud tag.

    This course covers WireCloud version 1.0.x (FIWARE 5.4.x).

    In this section you will learn how to use WireCloud from the point of view of a end-user. That is, you will learn how to create and manage dashboards using WireCloud.


    Required skills:

    • Web browser usage
  • 3. WireCloud for component developers

    In this section you will learn how to use WireCloud from the point of view of a component developer. That is, you will learn how to develop Mashable Application Components (widgets and operators).


    Required skills:

    • Knowledge about JavaScript programming

     

    Recommended skills:

    • CSS
    • Knowledge on JavaScrip frameworks. E.g. jquery, angular, ...
  • 4. WireCloud for administrators

    In this section you will learn how to use WireCloud from the point of view of an administrator. That is, you will learn how to install and administrate your WireCloud instances.


    Required skills:

    • Command line interface.
    • Server administration. E.g. knowing how to configure apache, nginx.


    Recommended skills:

    • Django administration, both from the command line and using the default Django administration site.
